         First, clarify the installation environment and protection rating. Industrial scenarios are mostly plagued by high temperature, humidity, dust or corrosion. Antennas shall reach IP67 or higher waterproof and dustproof rating, and withstand operating temperatures ranging from -45℃ to 85℃. Fiberglass antennas are preferred for outdoor and harsh environments thanks to outstanding anti-corrosion and anti-aging performance, supporting long-term stable operation.

         Determine gain parameters based on monitoring distance. 6–8dBi omnidirectional antennas are applicable for short-range indoor monitoring, delivering uniform 360° coverage without blind spots. High-gain directional antennas above 12dBi are required for long-distance or weak-signal areas. With beamforming technology, they strengthen signal penetration and boost throughput by 30%–50% at edge coverage zones.

         Pay attention to anti-interference performance and frequency band compatibility. Industrial environments carry strong electromagnetic interference, so antennas with anti-EMI design are required, with VSWR ≤ 2.0 to guarantee impedance matching. 4G antennas shall support target operator FDD bands such as B1/B3. Full-network compatible models work with China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom to prevent signal outages caused by band incompatibility.

         Choose antenna types matching installation scenarios. Omnidirectional antennas fit open areas, which can receive signals without precise alignment with base stations. Directional antennas are recommended for enclosed spaces like tunnels and underground parking lots, paired with 2×2 MIMO technology to enhance receive diversity. For factory workshops with dense equipment, maintain an antenna isolation distance over λ/2 in multi-antenna systems to avoid mutual interference.
